'My Name is Earl' Returns Tonight with Paris Hilton






Previously on My Name is Earl, Earl Hickey (Jason Lee) was finally set free after spending the first part of the season in prison. Unfortunately, his freedom was short-lived as he was hit by a car. When we last saw him, he was lying on the road unconscious, along with the person who hit him who turns out to be his potential soul mate Billie (Alyssa Milano).

Tonight's one-hour episode, “I Won't Die With a Little Help From My Friends,” marks the return of My Name is Earl in its original Thursday schedule. Read on for a preview.

Tonight's installment finds Earl still unconscious from the car accident. He slips into a coma, which takes him to an alternate world in the form of a sitcom. Stuck in a fevered state, Earl sees various things from real life are bleeding into his unconscious mind and eventually encounters socialite Paris Hilton (The Simple Life).

Meanwhile, the Camden County gang, consisting of Randy (Ethan Suplee), Darnell (Eddie Steeples), Joy (Jaime Pressly) and Catalina (Nadine Velazquez), goes to extreme efforts to save Earl's life. After several failed attempts, the group realizes that they are all out of ideas. They resort to their last option, a little boy who can cure everything with his finger. On the other hand, the boy declines to help because he thinks that Joy has the devil on her side, prompting Darnell and Randy to prove to the boy that she does not.

As for Billie, Earl hasn't seen the last of her, according to executive producer Greg Garcia.

"We'll see their relationship proceed in kind of a surreal way for a while, and then we'll see it play out in real life," Garcia hinted.
